The Gumtec is a highly portable unit mounted on industrial castors fitted with brakes. It works using low pressure steam and a special chewing gum removal liquid (Tec 96 solution).

It removes chewing gum completely and at high speed. The solution breaks down the vegetable oil used in chewing gum which constitutes 70% of it, the residue being held in the wire brush.

The Gumtec operates on a standard 240 volt supply and it can be run from a generator, which should be at least 6 kva. Two 19 litres vessels are located at the rear of the machine, one for water and the other for the Tec 96 solution. These allow approx 6-7 working hours without the need to stop and refill.

The Tec 96 solution is used at a rate of approx 1/2 litre per hour. The Gumtec takes approx 15 minutes to prime up to the 6 bar working pressure, but once achieved it will maintain this pressure all day. The brass brushes at the end of the lance cannot be cleaned and are therefore disposable. In an average working day approx 4/5 brushes will be used.
